Entry Requirements:

• Candidates must be 18 years old
• In possession of a minimum qualification at MQF level 3 in English

During the course:

Learners will be able to:

  • Describe key components of effective verbal communication in English, including pronunciation, intonation, and non-verbal cues.
  • List the stages of a structured conversation in English, such as greetings, introductions, and closing remarks.
  • Describe various types of complex English texts, including narratives, expository, persuasive, non-linear texts, and informational texts.
  • Identify main ideas, supporting details, and key information from English texts, demonstrating comprehension.
  • Explain the components of a well-structured English essay, including thesis statements, topic sentences, and supporting evidence.
