Obligations after Arrival
At La Vallette Institute, we prioritize quality education and a smooth process for the students after arrival. Once you are in Malta with your D-Visa, you must first report to the admission department on student.support@lavallette.mt apply in time before the visa expires to avoid irregular status. Therefore it is the student responsibility to prepare all the essential documents explained below to start your process for the student permit.
Health Screening
First Important step after Arrival to Malta is to do your Health Screening, you may visit any clinic in Malta to do your Health Screening once you have completed the Health Screening you must get it Signed and Stamped from Admissions Department then email the form along with X-ray reports and Vaccinations to workpermit.idcu@gov.mt and in Subject write “Student Form”
Once submitted the health authorities will vet your Medical report and issue an Approval Email which then will be required for your application to Identita.
Regardless of field of study, you must complete a health screening if you are staying over 3 months. Download the relevant forms from below and take it to the clinic or alternatively you can print it at clinic too:

Accommodation
Second important step is to sort out your long-term accommodation, and you will need the following documents:
- A copy of the lease agreement (rental contract) signed by both the landlord and you also (Notarized by a lawyer or Notary)
- A copy of the Housing Authority’s approval letter that registers the property as a rental
- Lease Agreement Attestation Form, (Notarized by a lawyer or Notary) click to download form
- Signature of Landlord on Page No.4 of (Identita Form N) click to download form
- Students using La Vallette Institute accommodation don’t need lease agreement, the relevant information must be included in the acceptance letter stating the accommodation is used by institution for its own students.
Health Insurance Plan
A copy of your comprehensive health-insurance policy. This insurance must cover all aspects of medical assistance or hospital visits for your entire stay in Malta. It must have premium coverage of 100k Euro
Means of Subsistence (Money to live on)
A bank statement,
- showing transactions of the past three months. The statement should show a balance of a minimum of 950 Euro for each month of stay in Malta, or its equivalent in foreign currency.
- Additional to bank statement A bank certificate showing your bank balance.
- Foreign and an original bank statement must be signed, stamped and dated by the bank manager.
- When foreign bank statements are presented, the applicant must provide an ATM withdrawal receipt to show that the bank account is accessible in Malta.
- Additionally, submit a photocopy of the front side of the credit/debit card with the same bank account number that corresponds to the account number on the bank statement you are presenting.
Proof of Sponsorship (if applicable)
- If a student is sponsored, an official sponsorship letter is required. Financial dependence may be from any of the following: a parent, next of kin, spouse, employer, or educational institution. The sponsorship letter should include the details of the sponsor, the duration of the sponsorship and what it covers.
- The sponsored student is required to attach copies of the sponsor’s identification (ID or Passport), together with the above-mentioned declaration letter.
Travel & Identity Documents
After arrival to Malta, you need to scan the full passport including all empty pages and your Visa page along the Entry stamp by Immigration Authorities

A copy of the acceptance letter from La Vallette Institute with the current class start date and showing the Course Tuition Fee paid
Submission to IDENTITA
Last step In order to apply for the TRC you now need to create your Account with Identita at Expatriates Unit Portal, to do so first Visit HERE and follow the steps:

After clicking on Register go to your Email INBOX and click on activate your account.
After Log in to your Portal follow the steps till the End page where you will be taken to UPLOAD DOCUMENTS section, you may click on GENERATE FORM (Form N.01) or alternatively download from HERE you will need to sign it yourself and sign from your landlord before uploading it to the Form N section.

Important Note:
- All documents must be scanned and the maximum size allowed is 2MB, each document must be named accordingly and uploaded in its right section.
- DO NOT delete anything if you receive a review from IDENTITA, DO NOT upload the same document twice if IDENTITA ask for correction, after correction name the new Document as updated and upload it
- All documents that you submitted online must be taken to IDENTITA on the day of Biometrics
